Lake Forest, CA -- etnies unleashed its spring 2007 sandal collection that combines comfort, style and function at ASR. In addition to the ASR preview, the new collection will be showcased again by appointment in New York City at the etnies Showroom, 29 Greene Street on September 20-21, 2006.

The spring 2007 etnies sandal collection is a diverse line offering a wide selection of traditional three-point sandals and slides. A few highlights of the line include:

Chalotas — Chalotas are inspired by an inside joke between the Malloy Brothers. You see, at one point, Keith Malloy mistakenly thought "Chalotas was the Spanish for "shoes. Dan and Chris always got such a kick out of Keith asking where his Chalotas were that the word became standard fare, and still carries on to this day in the form of a new sandal. This eco-sensitive three-point sandal brought to you by three of the world's best surfers features a natural cork footbed, a non-toxic EVA mid-sole and a sponge rubber outsole embossed with three environmentally friendly messages — "preserve the ocean, respect the beach and don't litter.

Runaway -- The Runaway combines function and style as etnies' first water-friendly sandal. This sandal's innovative water reduction system features a perforated waffle footbed and small channels in the mid-sole. This allows water to flow from the footbed out the sidewall leaving the wearer with a drier foot and more traction.

Bottle -- This soft unstructured slide sandal has a multi-purpose cargo pocket, with a surprise etnies bottle opener included. This slide features graphic patterns on the inside of the strap, and a contoured footbed with a toe bar and arch support. The textile material used in the upper is fused into the rubber outsole tread making a cool color pattern.

Ranger -- The Ranger's luxurious pigskin footbed, strap and lining provide unbelievable comfort and the whipstitch detailing on the midsole give it a highly stylized look. This sandal features unique strap construction which allows for a relaxed fit and crepe style texturing on the rubber outsole.
